HETI HEADLINES SEPTEMBER 2025

Welcome to our September issue of the HETI Headlines. It's been a busy start to this new season but we're so excited to share all that has happened and all that is to come!

This month, we had HETI President, Vera, share about the changes to our membership structures, pricing and benefits through a HETI Live meeting. The feedback from the meeting was very positive and we're happy to see that our members are on board with these changes which will be implemented in January 2026.

We also had our September webinar with Roberto Perez Verdia de la Torre, who spoke on the mechanisms of action in EAS. We highly recommend you check out this webinar. It is now available for free through the member's area of the HETI website or for purchase through the HETI store.

This month also saw Vera attend one of HETI's networks, the EEATN, in Portugal where she got to spend time with HETI members AEPM. Board member, Prof. Dr. Selcuk Akpinar, also got to share about HETI at the
The Special Athletes Sports Federation of Türkiye course in Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Nevşehir, Türkiye. We also had a wonderful meeting with the HETI Wisdom board - a group made up of HETI past presidents who share their experience, knowledge and guidance.

In the coming months, we'll also share presentations about HETI in Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Ireland and Lithuania. It is so positive to see so many countries engaging with Equine Assisted Services, but also wanting to promote best practice with scientific research!

As always, if you have any feedback, suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the HETI office.
With warm regards,
Kirstin O'Neill
HETI Executive Director/Secretary
