Course Overview
The equine saddle serves as a critical interface between horse and rider; proper fit fosters healthy movement, while poor fit can lead to pain and injury.
This course provides insights into the development of the modern saddle, examines the key factors that influence saddle fit, and discusses how poor fit can impact equine health. In the final lecture, we introduce the osteopathic approach to managing saddle-related pain and how we can combat saddle-related injury in horses alongside a professional saddle fitter.
Throughout this course, you will work towards earning the designation of Saddle Fit Advisor, demonstrating your ability to recognize saddle fit issues and their impact on the horse’s structure and movement. Please note that this course does not qualify you to fit saddles or certify you as a professional saddle fitter.
