Joint statement between Horses and Humans Research Foundation and The Federation of Horses in Education and Therapy International AISBL
Horses in Education and Therapy International (HETI) and the Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) support the equality and importance of both the humans and the horses in their interactions during services.
HHRF funds research internationally and HETI publishes international research. Both organizations’ strategic plans emphasize Education especially Education based on rigorous research. Towards that end of Education and the need for researchers to build on existing studies, we recognize a gap in access to international, peer reviewed, published research and together we promote the following statement: “As organizations that support high impact research, Horses in Education and Therapy International and Horses and Humans Research Foundation, recognize the need for a central international knowledge bank where global research data can be pooled, organized and easily accessed by all who want to enhance the field of human services that incorporate horses.”
