Kezia Sullivan MSc and Professor Ann Hemingway
Researcher / Professor
Kezia Sullivan is a researcher and consultant for equine assisted services, focussing on understanding outcomes of EAS across client groups – including reducing domestic violence in families, supporting family cohesion and reducing anxiety for adolescents. She frequently presents findings at national and international conferences and symposia, as well as consulting for organisations to support them to integrate outcomes measurement, research and practice, as well as teaching horsemanship which centres the experience of the horse to support equine welfare. Professor Ann Hemingway was a Professor of Public Health and Wellbeing at Bournemouth University UK for 26 years, focussing on the reduction of inequities in health and wellbeing outcomes for underserved populations, through non-medicalised routes to health and wellbeing. By linking equine-assisted services to reductions in domestic violence and improvements in mental health, she positions this work at the intersection of public health, psychology, and social innovation. She is committed to the use of science and philosophy to improve equine welfare.
