This 2-day, in-person workshop, presented by Dr Marilyn Sokolof, Licensed Psychologist and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, is for Equine Professionals, Mental Health Professionals, and anyone interested in the human-horse bond. It consists of PowerPoint and Workbook discussions, and participation in therapy oriented activities with equines. Dr Sokolof designed and used these activities in her many years of providing service, and the workshop identifies how they also can be used for Equine Assisted Learning.. Topics include: Why the Horse–Mechanisms of Change; Ethics for All; Practice and Program Administration; Who Will You Serve–Treatment Issues; and more.
Florida Psychological Association is a co-sponsor, providing 12 Continuing Education hours for mental health professionals throughout the USA. 12 credit hours is available for equine professionals as well. A Certificate of Attendance is provided.
The workshop will take place at Marion Therapeutic Riding Association, a PATHIntl Premier Accredited Center in Ocala, Fl, USA.
