Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (ADEC) is one of the UAE’s premier 5★ equestrian facilities, offering
world-class coaching, livery, competition, and equine-assisted programs. As we continue to
expand our services, we are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Therapeutic Riding
Instructor to help us develop our Therapeutic Riding Programme.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and overseeing high-
quality therapeutic riding sessions for individuals and groups. This role requires a professional

coach who can work confidently with riders of diverse abilities—including those with additional
needs, learning differences, or emotional and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop ADEC’s Therapeutic Riding Programme to international best-practice standards.
• Deliver progressive and safe therapeutic riding sessions for riders with a wide range
of physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Conduct equine-assisted learning sessions and group workshops focusing on personal
development, emotional regulation, communication, and confidence-building.
• Design and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with parents,
caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals where appropriate.
• Support ADEC events and help promote the Therapeutic Riding Programme.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all participants.

Qualifications & Experience
• Certification in Therapeutic Riding Instruction or Equine-Assisted Therapy from a
recognised governing body (e.g., PATH Intl., RDA, EAGALA, or equivalent).
• Strong background in coaching riders of varying abilities and experience levels.
• Knowledge of equine behaviour, welfare, and suitability for therapeutic activities.
• Experience working with children and adults with diverse additional needs
(physical, emotional, behavioural, or cognitive).
• Professional, patient, empathetic, and capable of working within a multicultural environment.
• Ability to work in a 5★ facility with high service expectations.
