ACPEA is a specialist professional network for physiotherapists working in equine-
assisted practice, promoting high standards, collaboration, and evidence-based care.
Through partnering with the therapeutic properties of the horse, members support
health, wellbeing, and performance across a wide range of client groups. ACPEA supports its members through education, collaboration, and CPD.
Services offered
ACPEA welcomes other healthcare professionals—including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists—as associate members, encouraging a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. ACPEA works closely with the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).
Specialisation
Members incorporate the movement of the horse as a therapeutic medium to support individuals with a wide range of physical, neurological, and developmental needs, as well as working with riders to enhance performance and prevent injury.
