Vera Lantelme, HETI President, was invited to present at the Equine Assisted Services (EAS) conference hosted by the Institut français du cheval et de l’équitation in Vichy, France. As you may know, HETI is celebrating its 50th anniversary. It’s an amazing coincidence that Vera’s first official activity as president took place in France, where the very first international congress was held, and the idea of an international organisation was born.

At the conference, Vera met two HETI Federation members. FENTAC, a longstanding member, was represented by two charming co-presidents, Brigitte Martin and Elsa Gilbert. Notably, Brigitte is the niece of Renée de Lubersac, who served as secretary of the first HETI (then RDI) Board.

The second team represented SIPME, with President Sophie Peignier, Treasurer Julie Martouzet, and General Secretary Nicolas Emond in attendance. Nicolas, an active member of the HETI Terminology Task Force, is always ready to share his extensive expertise.

During the event, Vera introduced HETI, Patrice Écot discussed the 18th HETI Congress, and Nicolas spoke about the international status of EAS. It was a great moment for HETI’s mission—CONNECTING, COMMUNICATING, and COLLABORATING.
