Vera’s professional background is in Equine Assisted Physiotherapy in the Czech Republic. She currently resides in France and is a happy horse owner.
Over the past thirty years, Vera has thrived in international collaborations and expatriate life, fostering a deep understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives. Her visionary approach and innovative strategies have been instrumental in creating and teaching international courses, organising various events, building networks, and leading large-scale projects. Notable milestones include her eight-year tenure as the Chair of the Czech Equine Facilitated Therapy Association (CEFTA) and the founding of the European Equine Assisted Therapy Network in 2019.
Vera is a co-author of several publications: “Hippotherapy” (2018), “Therapy Horse Certification System” (2018), and “Zooterapie v kostce” (2020). Between 2004 and 2009, she played a key role in establishing a hippotherapy centre and conducting certified hippotherapy courses at a rehabilitation hospital in Saudi Arabia.
Since 2021, Vera has been an Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Horses in Education and Therapy International (HETI) and assumed the role of President in 2024.
