National Standards
Overview
EAS practice falls under different laws, guidance and quality standards in different countries. Over several decades there have been discussions in the EAS sector about regulation of EAS via approved registers or through government legislation. Some countries have legal occupational standards for EAS Practitioners, others have national registers with minimum standards. Some registers are accredited by governmental organisations, others are not. It is a confusing picture for practitioners, service users and other stakeholders.
HETI’s goal is to offer transparent and clear information for each country, without bias – and support our members in their endeavours to raise standards. To this purpose we are convening discussions and working parties, attending international meetings, and providing country by country information, which we will develop and update over the coming years. HETI also provides an Ethical Framework for EAS practice applicable worldwide.
