UK National Register - HEIR
Pilot project finished
Following the successful 2 year pilot of the UK Human Equine Interaction Register (HEIR) which was supported by HETI, we are delighted that a new organisation, Equine Assisted Services Partnership (EASP) has been formed. EASP will manage HEIR in addition to providing other services and benefits to its members. HETI will remain closely linked with and supportive of EASP. More information and details about how to apply to the Register can be found here www.easp.co.uk
The UK also has another register:
The Athena® Herd Foundation established the Accredited Practitioner Register™ to define and promote professional standards that support the delivery of Equine Facilitated Interactions (known as, for example, Equine Assisted and/or Facilitated Learning, Therapy, Counselling, Psychotherapy, or Hippotherapy – defined here) through independent regulation and the registration of individual practitioners.
